A decade ago, we got Zelda, a standard red dachshund whose grandfather took best in breed in Westminster.
She, quiet runt of the litter was sought out by us for precisely her calm nature.
We got Zelda to be a fourth “sister” to our three youngest girls — all likewise adopted.
Zelda was treasured by everyone who met here, but she was so much more to then 11-year-old Vonne Mei, 8-year-old Metsu (whose bed she slept it throughout her life), and 6-year-old Abebu.
We are terribly sad to have lost Zelda. She will be greatly missed and long celebrated in our hearts.
She really was. Wagged her tail right up to last second.
Losing Zelda must be extremely hard on her human sisters as it was for you as well. My heartfelt sympathy on her crossing the rainbow bridge where she will be waiting.
