The Executive Education Program (one week in-residence) is called “The Discipline and Practice of Strategy.” About three dozen mid-career military (and some civilians) drawn from commands around the world.
I did two hours with this brief (Q&A dispersed throughout) and then, after a break, we went another hour with my How to Become a Grand Strategist interactive class (queries posed as multiple choice, with discussion after each answer revealed). So a total of three hours.
Mid-career defense people are really great to interact with in a teaching environment. It’s really worth their time and it’s really worth your time, so everybody’s happy.
Other guest lecturers in this course included Lawrence Freedman of King’s College and Avinash Dixit of Princeton, so, a stellar crowd.
Always a privilege and a treat, with Syracuse a very nice place to visit — however briefly.
