Stories Behind the Illustrations
Reminding readers of the playlist available on YouTube
On the road today to Green Bay for the Lions game tomorrow, so I thought I’d use this opportunity to re-organize all the Story Behind the Illustration videos I’ve done in the past and reintroduce them because they may not be familiar to newer subscribers since I haven’t done one in a good long while.
There are 21 videos I still hope to do — and will do with time. My OCD personality allows for nothing less.
Why bother with this effort? I simply treasure the creative process that I was allowed to join when it came to Jim and Sara Nuttle’s work on creating the book’s 54 illustrations. It’s a body of work to which I remain tremendously proud to have contributed.
Plus, as I learned with my first-born’s cancer fight and later with our adoptions from China and Ethiopia, you either put that stuff down somewhere in digits or it all gets forgotten. On that score, then, this effort is my personal thank-you to Jim and Sara.
I will try to get back to this, say, next Saturday.
