The workaround world meets wrapped-around-the-axle America
We need a president capable of detaching the US from the 20th century
Vladimir Putin “wins” another referendum to rule until 2030. Hard to call it an election since he’s really the only candidate allowed to run. Still, the hard truth is that he does actually enjoy the approval of the majority of Russians, virtually all of whom are trapped in a highly curated infosphere of his creation and constant feeding.
That mass delusion is not hard to maintain in a land and among a people that, except for brief moments, have only known authoritarianism going back centuries (e.g., the broader name Slav, meaning slave, has stuck with the Russians since they suffered that fate in the Middle Ages).
I know, I feel the same way about Trump’s MAGA crowd, which, by extension, is likewise Putin’s MAGA crowd or — just as vigorously — Victor Orban’s MAGA crowd. In that regard, we presently endure a growing international network of ethno-nationalist leaders who dress themselves up as “saviors” of a besieged White Christianity.
With both Whites and Christians heading inexorably toward majority-minority status in America (Whites in the 2040s, Christians in the 2060s), we can expect this movement will persist within our nation for years-stretching-into-decades.
